COLE goes gliding in Picton : Aug 17, 2011 Cole turned 12 last month, which is the minimum age to both glide and to join Air Cadets. Luckily his cousins Lisa and Laura are both gliding instructors, with Laura being Flight Commander at the Gliding School -so he got to go up. Laura went up with him and let him take the joystick. She said he's a natural aviator -better than some of her older students. Using foot pedals and the joystick, he maintained a perfect 50 degree turn, and did an excellent roller-coaster glide. He also got to fly the "Scout" propeller tow plane, performing a 180 and 360 turn. (Dad also got to fly the tow plane)
We all went to Bruce pit (Ottawa)on Family Day Feb 20,2012 for sledding.
